The flower of grief

Longing For Light- Varun Anand Bhat

The sun shone bright,
And there was light
But I could still sense the dark,
I knew it was my heart.

What happened to me? How did I end like this?
Life was always good, filled with love and bliss.
It all went down when you took a leave
Like water in a desert, you were my every need.

When I think of it now, I wish I told you to stop,
Life without you seems like a bad crop.
Only if you had to listen when I screamed,
We would be together just like how I dreamed.

But it seems it’s too late now,
I have to stand on my feet, and I don’t know how.
But when I stand up and give this darkness a fight,
I hope to experience the light of the sun that shines bright.
