A memo on progress- Alex Diaz

with progress //
anything is possible //
though possibility never-assured //
we can be infinite //
infinite energy //
eternal science //
and minds devoted //
perfection can never change //
thus we remain perfect //
all things are sublime //
and humans shan’t differ //

with progress //
we have become dead //
so let us celebrate – celebrate our lovely deaths //
yet we have become bored //
so let us party with wine //
with steak and butter//
with burger and fry//
with prada and fendi//
all whilst reclining in a recliner //

– so we may recline //

with progress //
there is no God //

– caricatures of perfection are useless in actual perfection //
thus, let us murder these inutile beings //
until we ache of our edenic wrath //
and our limbs collapse //
sore of swinging axe //
and we lay as perfect gods //
in this paradise that is eternity //

with progress //
we have achieved supremacy //
and advancement //
let us say ‘to death of creativity’ //
for perfection is perfect. //
until we realize //
we have not overcome ourselves //
nor our idility – //

– the act of idleness //
woe to the death of knowledge, now a relic of the past. //

with progress //
we shall overcome ourselves //
let the world bow in agony //
and say “God is dead, and he has killed himself” //
what is Worth if not a stain on the creatures of nature //
there is no worth //
in a place of infinite unity //

with progress //
we are united //
Cheers! Look at the thundering crowds //
who beg us to give //
a present of perfection and prosperity.
so we turn our backs and say – //

– “to hell with all the godly creatures, they have already discovered peace.” //
our present would be nothing more than a curse; //
yet. //

with progress //
we are alone //
we are perfect //
we are innumerable //
we are single //
we are strong //
we are jealous //
we are proud //
and we are divine. //
all possible //
with progress. //
