A letter to my Dear Santa🎄- Nilshree Damani

Dear Santa,

How have you been? If you are expecting this to be another letter that has a list of demands, well, then, you are wrong!

We have all grown up with this concept of Santa gifting us the things we wished for on Christmas. Then came a time when we realized, our parents are our Santa’s secretly. It’s they who kept those gifts for us in those neatly knitted red socks!

It was difficult to come to terms with that fact, and I would still like to be in the illusion that Santa did exist. To all those storytellers, I want to ask, “Where is Santa all year round? Does he watch TV, read newspapers and magazines, or watch FIFA? Does he like carrot sticks and cinnamon pie or he would equally enjoy feasting on a donut as well!?

Doesn’t he get bored of the same red dress? How do they engage and entertain each other, Mr & Mrs Claus? The one who always gets gifts for everyone else, what would he like to receive as a gift?

Yeah, I know this question of mine may make you feel confused, but the one who always gives also needs to be gifted. If we keep taking the giver for granted, one day they may be tired of giving. So this Christmas, I thought of being the Santa for Mr. Claus just because he is the one who our childhood so much fun!

Christmas is coming close, so please let me know your wishes ASAP! The courier services will be overloaded, I would not like to send a delayed present! Also, I may not be able to fulfill all of them but will try to fulfill them with the closest possible option.

Your’s true,

Nilshree.
